Why would you want to wait to Carpe Diem?
Today is YOUR day. This is the one you’ve got. Today = the present.
So, get on with it!
I did just that today myself! SO convinced of Carpe Diem that I had that very saying tattooed on my right inner arm! Oh, yes, I did!
I also seized today to spend with my son “playing in the dirt” and helping him replant one of his raised garden beds. The weather was perfect, we applied sunscreen, wore gardening clothes, gloves and our hats and had a marvelous time “playing” together literally in the dirt as we put in seeds and drip irrigation!
We’ve limited time together when I return to the U.S. for infrequent visits. We capitalize on our moments by planning and then just DOING! We “do” life together in whatever way we can.
Yesterday I seized the day with my daughter. We spent the day on the beach at Santa Monica. We walked (my FitBit was happy dancing at 14,000+ steps) vigorously through the sand and surf. We strolled the boardwalk. We sat on a bench overlooking the ocean and continued our brainstorm for her life. SO much joy in our time together!
I say all that to remind YOU to Carpe Diem in whatever way you can. Really. Do it. Make a plan or not. Change up your routine to make it healthier or more vibrant and significant! Pay it forward? You tell me. . .how are you going to Carpe Diem?
Carpe Diem, beloveds
