YIPES! We’re still in the midst of a mandatory apartment make-over (Ecuadorean style) and it’s a chronic (hahaha) adventure. I choose the term chronic but could also add the terms chaotic, stressful, anxiety-inducing, frustrating and interesting.
Essential to the process is the right perspective and attitude – regardless of where you live and what you’re in the midst of.
Can I get an AMEN to that???
So in the midst of the endless dust from installation of granite countertops, laurel wood cabinets, the ocean winds and people coming in and out, I’m holed up in my tiny box-overrun “office” trying to complete my Carpe Diem book! Yipes! I vacillate between thoughts of its being my “magnum opus” and thoughts of it’s being just the beginning-of-the-project-so-not-such-a-big-deal. Oh my.
It’s so ironic that I’m writing about Carpe Diem on a physical, emotional, spiritual and mental level when I’m feeling a little crispy around the edges on all those levels myself! 🙂
I’ve deadlines and progress reports to complete so push on I must (thank you, Yoda, for the proper emphasis there). Sure am tired though. Tomorrow will be different because the work being done will be less messy and noisy (I hope?). Seeing some light at the end of this two-months-long tunnel.
Carpe Diem beloveds!
